Principal World Travel is a small, independently owned business travel agency, in business for over 20 years.

Why is independence an advantage?

It means we are not tied into contracts with any particular hotel chains, airlines, tour operators etc. We simply use our resources to offer the best solutions to your brief, in accordance with company travel policy and traveller wellbeing.

Why is small an advantage?

We are a small friendly team. When clients contact us, they know they will reach someone they know and who knows them. The Call Centre approach works for some organisations, who need hundreds of consultants on hand to service enquiries. Our focus is individual travellers and companies with a small to medium size travel budget. We take the time to get to know our clients, to work with them and tailor make booking & finance procedures exactly right for their circumstances.

What does this mean?

You won’t be passed from department to department as one consultant takes care of the flights, another looks at the hotel, another the car hire … that’s just tiresome. Our consultants are fully trained to work with you on all aspects of your business travel needs, so you have one point of contact during the entire process.

Everyone is involved

We know the focus is on those doing the travel and booking the travel however we work equally as hard with those responsible for the post process admin & finance. No reams of receipts and invoices for them; we consolidate the process and tailor make our systems to work seamlessly with yours.

I founded Principal Business Travel in 1999 and have worked hard to create a vibrant agency, committed to 100% customer service. I have always strived to be part of my customers’ team and look after our travellers when they are on the road, anywhere in the world as their travel PA. This ethos is echoed throughout our business. Aside from a two year management training course at Harrods, I have always worked in travel, both corporate and leisure but the business sector is where my heart lies.

Outside of work, I love family time and catching up with friends. I also enjoy reading, though never have the time, try to run regularly and planning my next holiday!

Reservations Manager

As part of the front line booking team here at Principal Business Travel my job is to make sure all travel requests are responded to quickly and efficiently. My day to day jobs consist of sourcing and booking all aspects of business travel including Flights, Hotel, Car Hire and Meeting requests as well as advising any current travel restrictions in each destination. I am also in charge of quality control to ensure best practice on behalf of all of our clients. I also ensure all of our bookings are ready for the accounts team to invoice on, which involves chasing hotels and car hire companies for invoices and checking all the charges are correct.

Outside of the office I study my other passions of Upholstery and Antiques. I love spending time with my family as much as possible and every Sunday you will find me supporting my two boys aged (11 and 9) from the sidelines of their rugby training whatever the weather!

Accounts & Administration

I have been with Principal Business Travel since 2015 and am in charge of Accounts & Administration, to keep us on the straight & narrow :) .

After a previous 20 year career in garden centres, retail visual merchandising and project managing a number of events, my eye for detail helps keep all the processes up to date & ship shape. It’s a busy role & I am paid to nag our lovely team 🤩.

Outside of work after spending time with my family, I enjoy walking my 2 gorgeous springer spaniels, gardening & garden design, travelling & skiing. I also run and socialise with friends.

Strategy & Licensing

I have been a director since the Company’s inception, over 21 years ago. I bring experience from 30 years in financial services, specialising in administration, strategic planning and corporate transactions. With a business partner, I ran our own Consultancy from 1997 to 2008.
At Principal Business Travel, I am involved in strategy, administrative support, licensing and governance.
Away from business, I like to travel, walk, cycle, develop craft skills and socialise with family and friends, preferably in hot places!
